Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has promised to cover the costs of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for qualifying understudies in Nigeria if he is elected president.

The billionaire industrialist and entrepreneur stated that his administration will ensure that no child is left behind in school and that all WASSCE expenses will be paid.

Tinubu explained that the symbol on his cap refers to ‘breaking the shackles of destitution,’ and that as president, he meant to achieve just that, as well as break the chains of obliviousness and banditry, among other things.
